Principal Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

CMW Geosciences, a Kiwa Group company with 23 offices and over 350 employees across Australia and New Zealand, is opening a new full-service office on the Sunshine Coast. It offers opportunities at Senior, Associate and Principal levels for experienced geotechnical engineers to provide analysis, design and technical advice to clients in the construction, infrastructure and energy sectors. The role is based mainly on Sunshine Coast projects, with the chance to support projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analysis, design and technical advice for clients across the region
• Train and upskill junior engineers and geologists
• Maintain the highest standard of technical excellence
• Work predominantly on Sunshine Coast projects, with occasional support elsewhere in Australia and New Zealand

Required profile

• Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science degree
• Minimum of 18 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in a consultancy setting
• Full Australian working rights
• RPEQ, CPEng or relevant professional body registration
• At least two years of experience in Australia and Queensland strongly preferred
• Ability to travel if required
