Principal Engineer - Water Resources

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead water resources projects, providing consultancy and technical services across local, national and international portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Technical leadership and full project management, including client relationships and financial oversight.
• Business development with new and existing clients to drive revenue and strategic growth.
• Conduct risk assessments and deliver feasible solutions.
• Apply flood, hydrologic, hydraulic and water‑balance modelling to assessments such as flood impact, water quality, water management plans, erosion control and watercourse design.
• Review and improve technical documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in water resources engineering within a consultancy.
• Relevant tertiary engineering degree (civil, environmental or chemical).
• CPEng registration or willingness to obtain.
• Proven ability to build client relationships, develop business and manage projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
