Principal Consulting Architect – Observability & Security

About the role

Elastic is looking for a Principal Consulting Architect to lead the design and delivery of Observability and Security solutions across ANZ. You will work closely with Services, Engineering and Sales teams, influencing product direction and helping customers realise business value from Elastic’s platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer pain points, gather requirements and design end‑to‑end Elastic solutions that integrate with existing enterprise technologies.
• Orchestrate capacity planning, technical audits, upgrades, migrations and use‑case expansions in mission‑critical environments.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management and Support to identify feature enhancements and resolve defects.
• Partner with Sales to scope opportunities, assess technical risks and present solutions to C‑suite stakeholders.
• Mentor fellow consultants and act as a technical authority on Observability, Security and Elastic products.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consulting Architect or senior IT leader delivering professional services.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work remotely within a distributed team.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Elastic Observability or comparable platforms (Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Sentinel, Grafana).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack.
• Linux administration, networking, security, containerisation, serverless and DevOps tooling.
• Scripting/programming: Python, JavaScript, Go, Chef/Puppet.
• Understanding of databases and infrastructure automation.
