Principal Consultant – Fixed Income Implementation

About the role

State Street is expanding its Implementation Services team for the Charles River Investment Management System (IMS). The Principal Consultant will lead complex fixed‑income implementation projects, become a product expert quickly, and stay current with industry changes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead or co‑manage end‑to‑end implementation projects for Charles River IMS.
• Serve as the single point of contact for clients, communicating status and handling senior stakeholder interactions.
• Translate workflow analysis into configuration specifications and guide customers on best‑practice implementations.
• Facilitate conference calls, manage training requests, and coordinate work across global CRD locations.
• Monitor issue escalation, communicate upgrades, and maintain awareness of industry trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial software services, with extensive front‑office exposure to fixed‑income and derivatives.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale implementation projects or multiple smaller projects.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work flexible hours beyond regular business times.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of fixed‑income instruments and derivatives.
• Experience with Charles River Trading System, Compliance Master, or equivalent platforms.
• Technical proficiency in SQL.
• Full life‑cycle implementation experience.
