Principal Consultant – Accounting & Finance Recruitment

About the role

Join Robert Half as a full‑time Accounting & Finance Principal Consultant in Melbourne. You will drive candidate and client engagements, delivering tailored talent solutions while contributing to a diverse and inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Generate personal sales results by sourcing, screening, and placing candidates for finance and accounting roles.
• Develop and maintain relationships with both candidates and key client accounts, understanding their needs and market trends.
• Negotiate fees, manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process, and ensure expectations are met for both parties.
• Identify, win, and grow key accounts through prospecting, networking, and cross‑selling.

Required profile

• Passionate, results‑oriented professional with at least 2 + years of 360‑degree recruitment experience in the finance & accounting sector.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all seniority levels.
• Critical thinker who can make agile decisions and take ownership of personal learning and development.
