Practice Manager

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and ambitious Practice Manager to join Myhealth Dandenong, a well‑established general practice located in Dandenong Plaza. This role offers an experienced manager or senior GP 2IC the chance to drive operational excellence and foster a supportive, team‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead doctors to ensure smooth operational workflows.
• Oversee day‑to‑day practice operations with a focus on quality care.
• Facilitate inductions and in‑house training sessions for new staff.
• Manage the diary scheduling system, including waitlist management and patient appointment coordination.
• Provide solution‑focused management to clinic operations and doctor queries.
• Lead a team with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving and patient care.

Required profile

• Experience in GP medical reception or practice management.
• Confidence in taking on leadership and senior administrative roles.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with a passion for enhancing patient experiences.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and Private Health Insurance billing.
• Strong multitasking and prioritisation abilities.
• Experience managing nursing and administration staff (preferred).
