PR & Content Manager

About the role

Stake is seeking a PR & Content Manager to lead its earned media function within the Brand & Communications team. Based in Sydney, you will act as the primary liaison between Stake and journalists, podcasters, and creators across Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain direct relationships with media outlets, editors, producers, and influencers.
• Pitch stories, secure coverage, and expand Stake’s presence into podcasts, newsletters, and creator channels.
• Collaborate with the Content team to shape integrated narratives across earned, social, and brand channels.
• Monitor market and cultural trends to identify timely story angles.
• Manage inbound media enquiries, prepare spokespeople, and support crisis communications when needed.

Required profile

• Passion for media relations and deep understanding of the Australian media landscape.
• Proactive, autonomous, and able to spot opportunities early in the news cycle.
• Strong editorial judgement and ability to translate data or product launches into compelling stories.

Required skills

• Experience building media networks across business, finance, tech, and consumer sectors.
• Ability to craft clear, persuasive pitches and briefing materials.
