Power Transmission & Distribution Leader, Queensland

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a senior Power Transmission & Distribution Practice Leader for Queensland. Based in Brisbane, you will shape the future of energy infrastructure across the state, leading a high‑performing team and setting technical standards for complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Queensland Power Transmission & Distribution practice, ensuring delivery quality and client trust.
• Coach, mentor and develop the next generation of technical leaders within the T&D team.
• Define practice priorities, technical standards and maintain consistent, reliable delivery across the portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership on substations, overhead and underground lines, high‑voltage networks and grid connections.
• Balance client expectations, technical standards, resourcing and commercial outcomes.
• Champion technology‑enabled and digital delivery methods.
• Strengthen client relationships, expand industry networks and enhance Aurecon’s market reputation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in transmission and distribution engineering.
• Relevant engineering qualifications and RPEQ registration.
• Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong client relationships and a history of delivering impactful projects.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
