Policy Officer – Expression of Interest

About the role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Policy Officers to join a range of temporary, contract and permanent opportunities across government, not‑for‑profit and private sectors in Perth. The role involves contributing to policy development and reform across diverse portfolios such as social policy, community services, regulation and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on policy issues, legislation and industry trends.
• Develop policy documents, briefing notes, reports and submissions.
• Support policy design, implementation and evaluation.
• Engage with stakeholders including government, industry and community groups.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Monitor policy outcomes and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in policy development, analysis or advisory roles.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent written communication, with experience preparing high‑quality briefs and reports.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills.
• Experience working within government or regulated environments (highly regarded).
