Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to own and shape Breaker’s CI/CD platform and cloud infrastructure. In this foundational role you will build the systems that enable every engineer to ship software that runs on both cloud and autonomous robots.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Breaker’s CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Docker and Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure that supports simulation, build, and deployment workflows.
• Ensure pipeline stability, build performance and package management across the organisation.
• Bridge the gap between simulation environments and field‑deployed robots, reducing bugs that transition from simulation to real‑world.
• Collaborate daily with development teams, provide support, and promote best practices such as GitOps and shift‑left quality tooling.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, preferably in a startup or scale‑up.
• Strong expertise with GitLab CI/CD, AWS, Docker and Linux systems.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex pipeline issues and mentor engineers.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
