Platform Engineer - AWS/Terraform/Serverless

About the role

Join a leading healthcare organisation undergoing a major technology transformation. As a Platform Engineer you will help design, build and automate the next‑generation AWS environment, focusing on serverless and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions that support critical health services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Develop and support serverless services such as Lambda and API Gateway.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects and security teams to deliver reliable, scalable platforms.
• Drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance and support to application teams on AWS networking, security and operational best practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in AWS platform engineering.
• Hands‑on expertise with Terraform and serverless AWS services.
• Familiarity with AWS core services (IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, ECS).
• Experience building CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
• Proficiency in scripting or development using Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Background in DevOps or Platform Engineering teams; healthcare or regulated‑environment exposure is a plus.
