Planning Manager

About the role

John Holland is seeking a Planning Manager for its Sunshine (Albion) office to support the full project lifecycle, develop detailed programmes and monitor performance to deliver high‑quality projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement planning strategies, audits and reviews for business groups, regions or major projects.
• Ensure planning activities comply with John Holland policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report on Project Controls processes, establishing project monitoring systems focused on time, cost, resources and quality.
• Interface with project teams, partners, clients, consultants and subcontractors to manage the planning function.
• Lead a planning and controls culture, focusing on risk management, cost control and SQE.
• Provide training and guidance on planning systems, project monitoring and data interpretation.
• Supervise staff and subcontractors undertaking planning and scheduling responsibilities.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture, Project Management or equivalent.
• 12+ years of experience in construction, engineering, planning and project controls.
• Leadership experience managing planning teams on major projects and tenders.
