Project Site Supervisor

About the role

The Project Site Supervisor is responsible for day‑to‑day management of delivery, installation, commissioning and testing activities on Vertiv critical infrastructure projects. This permanent on‑site position requires hands‑on leadership across all Vertiv product and service offerings, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily pre‑start and toolbox talks with Vertiv engineers and subcontractors.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise equipment delivery, interfacing with the general contractor and site trades.
• Represent Vertiv at site project meetings and manage relationships with builders, contractors, engineers and installers.
• Complete delivery condition reports, photos and obtain customer acceptance.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, permits and defect rectification.
• Maintain WHS, environment and quality compliance, promoting a zero‑harm culture.

Required profile

• Completion of an electrical or mechanical trade (preferred).
• Cert IV in Building & Construction or equivalent Diploma.
• White/general construction card and LVR/CPR certification.
• Minimum 5 years of site supervision experience in construction, mining, telecommunications or critical infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to supervise teams and manage subcontractors.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills: MS Office and MS Project.
• Mechanical systems knowledge: chillers, XDUs, fan wall units, CRAC units.
• Electrical systems knowledge: switchboards, busway, static switches, UPS and batteries.
• Experience with modular data centres and power train units (PTUs).
• Familiarity with control and monitoring systems.
