Pharmacist Intern

About the role

The Pharmacist Intern will join West Moreton Health’s pharmacy team to gain hands‑on experience in a hospital setting. Working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, the intern will develop the competencies required for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the delivery of pharmacy services across the health service.
• Work within a structured learning environment and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
• Develop an understanding of hospital pharmacy practice and medication management.
• Complete the training requirements for AHPRA registration.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal pharmacy systems.

Required profile

• Demonstrates honesty, integrity and respect for patients, carers and staff.
• Excellent communication skills for service provision within legal frameworks.
• Ability to provide patient care in a healthcare facility.
• Proactive contribution to team objectives and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Willingness to engage in system development and continuous improvement.
