About the role
Public Sector People is recruiting a temporary Pest Management Technician for Logan City Council in Kingston, Queensland. The assignment focuses on fire ant treatments and contributes to pest management activities in the local community; candidates with mosquito management experience are encouraged to apply. The engagement is casual, starting ASAP and ending on 26 February 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out fire ant treatments across designated areas
- Follow safe handling procedures and relevant treatment protocols
- Support pest management activities as directed
Required profile
- Experience in pest management, pesticide application or similar field-based work is an advantage
- Mosquito management experience is highly regarded
- Able to work safely outdoors and follow established procedures
Working conditions
- 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
