Personal Carer - Onkaparinga Lodge

About the role

Southern Cross Care is recruiting a Personal Carer for its Onkaparinga Lodge residential care facility in South Australia. The role provides proactive, person-centred support tailored to each resident's needs, goals and preferences, promoting their active participation in their own health and well-being. The schedule covers various morning and afternoon shifts in week 1 and again in week 2.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care
• Experience as a Personal Carer and the ability to work without direct supervision
• Good communication skills and strong time management
• Understanding of how to support residents living with dementia
• Understanding of the Aged Care Standards as they apply to this role
• A Senior First Aid Certificate and an understanding of AN-ACC are desirable
