Personal Carer Filler

About the role

Southern Cross Care is hiring a Personal Carer Filler in Goolwa, South Australia, on a permanent full-time basis. The position is a fortnightly one requiring availability across a rotating roster of AM and PM shifts, working across a 14-day roster.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive, person-centred services and support that are safe and effective, tailored to each resident's needs, goals and preferences.
• Promote active participation in residents' health and well-being.
• Work without direct supervision.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care.
• Experience as a Personal Carer.
• Good communication skills and ability to manage your time well.
• Understanding of how to support residents living with dementia.
• Understanding of the Aged Care Standards as they apply to this role.
• A Senior First Aid Certificate and an understanding of AN-ACC are desirable.
