Personal Care Assistant - Casual

About the role

Jallarah Homes, part of Respect, is recruiting a Personal Care Assistant in a casual position. The home offers 29 private rooms with ensuites, daily meals and 24-hour personal care support, and is described as a place where older Australians live in a supportive community. The role suits a caring, reliable person who enjoys flexible work across AM, PM, night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred personal care, supporting daily activities while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing.
• Assist with meals, feeding, grooming, hygiene, mobility and light housekeeping tasks.
• Provide companionship and encourage social and emotional engagement.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, report changes promptly, and help keep the environment safe, clean and comfortable.
• Work with the team, communicate effectively and keep accurate, confidential care records.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
• Current National Police Certificate and NDIS Workers Screening Clearance, or ability to obtain them.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and committed, with a genuine passion for person-centred care; experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• Meets the legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening.
