Permanent Radiographer & Sonographer Roles in Australia

About the role

We are seeking qualified Radiographers and Sonographers registered (or registrable) with the Health Professions Council of South Africa to join Australia’s healthcare system on a permanent, full‑time basis. These positions provide a clear pathway to Australian permanent residency and allow you to work in a variety of settings, from metropolitan hospitals to regional clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality diagnostic imaging procedures such as X‑ray, CT, MRI (Radiographers) or ultrasound scans (Sonographers) using advanced equipment.
• Conduct patient assessments, explain procedures, position patients safely, and optimise image quality while minimising radiation exposure.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to interpret preliminary findings and support timely diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate records, adhere to infection control, privacy and ethical standards, and participate in quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging or Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound/Sonography from a South African institution.
• Eligibility for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and at least 3 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Good English language proficiency and a genuine interest in relocating to Australia.
