About the role

The Pharmacy Department at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital is seeking a permanent part‑time Pharmacist to join a supportive team delivering high‑quality pharmaceutical care. The role is 8 hours per week, offering $42.23‑$62.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, carers and families within the Northern Sydney Local Health District.
• Deliver education and medicines information services to consumers and health‑care professionals.
• Conduct medication reconciliation, dispensing and dosing as required.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Ensure compliance with NSW Health policies, including immunisation and disease‑screening requirements.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work within scope of practice.
• Commitment to a culturally safe environment; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants encouraged.
• Willingness to seek assistance when needed and adhere to professional standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with health information systems and general computer literacy.
• Knowledge of pharmacy services including medication reconciliation and dispensing.
