Performance Engineer – Automation Testing (Sydney)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Performance Engineer to work closely with designers, architects, product owners and third‑party vendors to deliver performance tuning solutions for both cloud‑based and on‑premise applications. The role focuses on high‑volume, high‑throughput systems across Big Data, payments and mainframe environments, leveraging Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and architecture teams to define performance requirements.
• Implement and optimise performance tuning solutions for cloud (Azure, AWS) and on‑premise applications.
• Conduct performance testing, analysis and reporting for Big Data, payments and mainframe systems.
• Work with third‑party vendors to integrate performance improvements.
• Provide guidance and best practices for performance engineering across projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 9 years of experience in information technology, with a focus on performance engineering.
• Proven track record delivering performance solutions for cloud and on‑premise applications.
