People & Culture Officer

About the role

Troocoo is recruiting, on behalf of a global organisation, a People & Culture Officer to join its established People & Culture team in Brisbane. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible, within a shared services People & Culture environment. It suits someone who enjoys being at the heart of the employee experience, working across a broad range of HR activities and partnering with people at all levels of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide responsive, practical support to employees and leaders on a wide range of People & Culture queries
• Support key employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, internal mobility, promotions, leave, parental leave and separations
• Guide employees on P&C policies, employment conditions and benefits
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance
• Support performance and reward processes and other P&C initiatives
• Work across mobility, contractor engagements and employee documentation
• Contribute to process improvement and identify ways to make P&C services more efficient
• Support broader projects, organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience in a People & Culture Officer, HR Officer or similar generalist HR role
• Experience in financial services, professional services or another highly regulated environment is highly regarded
• Genuine interest in HR and a strong understanding of the employee lifecycle
• Ability to interpret and apply HR policies and relevant employment legislation
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, completed or underway

• Experience with HRIS platforms and quick learning of new systems
