People & Culture Advisor

About the role

A not-for-profit organisation is looking for an experienced People and Culture Advisor to support a positive workplace culture through practical HR advice and meaningful people initiatives. The role works across the full employee lifecycle, offering generalist HR support while contributing to broader people and culture initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee inductions
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
• Support learning and development initiatives and training programs
• Review HR policies and maintain legislative compliance
• Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives
• Support the delivery of broader People and Culture strategies and projects

Required profile

• At least three years' experience in an HR role
• Sound knowledge of employee relations and relevant employment legislation
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously, exercise discretion and contribute to a collaborative team
• Previous experience in an NFP or wider public sector environment is highly regarded
