People and Culture Advisor – Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

Lush is seeking a People and Culture Advisor with a focus on employee relations to support its Australian and New Zealand teams. You will act as the trusted partner for managers, handling complex ER matters while ensuring fairness and alignment with Lush’s values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including grievances, misconduct, investigations and restructures.
• Provide expert guidance on modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation across AU and NZ.
• Analyse ER trends, recommend policy updates and coach managers to prevent recurring issues.
• Conduct workplace investigations applying procedural fairness and natural justice.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations and case management within retail, FMCG or fast‑paced multisite environments.
• Strong empathy, high emotional intelligence and ability to make objective, strategic decisions.
• Excellent influencing and communication skills for coaching managers at all levels.
• Willingness to travel to stores across Australia and New Zealand as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment law, modern awards and statutory consultation requirements.
• Deep understanding of procedural fairness principles and natural justice.
