Penetration Tester

About the role

Triskele Labs, an Australian cybersecurity company offering penetration testing, compliance, risk management and 24/7 security operations, is hiring a Penetration Tester. This is a full-time hybrid position with flexibility for remote work. Penetration testers assess web applications, networks, cloud environments and infrastructure to find vulnerabilities and validate security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute penetration tests and document technical findings
• Produce clear reports and present results and remediation guidance to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with red team, security operations and consulting colleagues on broader cybersecurity engagements
• Help improve tools, methodologies and internal knowledge
• May develop proof-of-concept exploits and assist with incident response
• Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security trends

Required profile

• A degree or diploma in Information Security, Computer Science or a related field, or industry certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GWAPT or GPEN (highly beneficial)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain complex technical issues simply
• Team player who can manage multiple projects, keeps confidentiality and is customer focused

Required skills

• Cybersecurity: common attack vectors, security frameworks and defensive controls
• Application security and red teaming: web, mobile, API assessments and simulated offensive operations
• Reverse engineering and malware analysis of binaries, scripts and malicious code
• Penetration testing tools and reporting: Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali Linux, OSINT tools
