Part‑Time Finance Officer – AP/AR & Reconciliations

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Finance Officer to join an Australian‑owned aerospace manufacturing business on a part‑time, contract basis. The role offers flexible hours (16‑20 hrs per week) and hands‑on exposure to the full spectrum of accounts processes, supported by an experienced mentor.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices and purchase orders, ensuring accurate entry and timely payment runs.
• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable, from invoice receipt to payment preparation.
• Format weekly purchase orders and maintain purchase order records.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations to keep cash balances accurate.
• Oversee accounts receivable when required, ensuring timely invoicing and collection.

Required profile

• Immediately available for a 2‑3 month contract.
• Proven experience with end‑to‑end accounts payable and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software is highly regarded.
• Desire for part‑time hours (16‑20 hrs per week) and a proactive, learning mindset.
