Parts Salesperson

About the role

Construction Equipment Australia (CEA) is looking for an experienced Parts Salesperson to join its Western Australia team. The role suits someone who knows their way around parts and enjoys helping customers find the right solution quickly, whether their background is in automotive, agriculture, construction equipment, heavy machinery or a similar industry.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and identify parts for customers, technicians and internal teams
• Handle incoming parts enquiries by phone, email and over the counter
• Prepare quotes and process customer orders
• Provide knowledgeable and responsive customer service
• Follow up quotes, orders and outstanding enquiries
• Check parts availability and source solutions when stock is not immediately available
• Support the Service team with parts requirements for repairs and maintenance
• Build relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities to grow parts sales
• Assist with stock control and general Parts Department activities
• Work closely with the wider branch team to deliver a great customer experience

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' parts interpreting experience in automotive, agriculture, machinery or a similar industry
• Good mechanical aptitude and an understanding of machinery or vehicle components
• Experience with construction or earthmoving equipment is highly regarded but not essential

• Strong parts identification and interpreting skills
• Good customer service and communication skills, confident on the phone and face-to-face
• Good computer skills and ability to learn parts and inventory systems
• Organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple enquiries in a busy environment
• Proactive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
