Part-Time Room Attendant

About the role

ibis Styles Brisbane, a modern hotel in the Brisbane CBD with 367 rooms, is looking for part-time or casual Room Attendants. The role is manual labour in a fast-paced environment, involving heavy lifting and constant repetitive action, and requires a moderate level of fitness.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, storage areas and corridors to the required standard and on time.
• Replenish guest supplies and advertising material in bedrooms and bathrooms to the correct standard for each room type.
• Report lost property following the correct procedures.
• Carry out programmed and regular cleaning duties as allocated.

The hotel operates 24/7, so the role may include overnight shifts and work across weekends, evenings, public holidays and other times as required.

Required profile

• Friendly nature and willingness to communicate with guests.
• Conversational English is highly preferred, as you will talk to guests and take their instructions.
• Good mobility to clean rooms within the allocated timeframe.
• A moderate level of fitness.
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Legal working rights in Australia; the role is not open to sponsorship.
