Part-Time Risk & Compliance Officer

About the role

Loreto College Ballarat, a Catholic girls' school founded in 1875 with about 990 students, is looking for a part-time Risk & Compliance Officer. The role sits in the Education Support team, reports to the Business Manager and supports the College in identifying, managing and monitoring risk, meeting compliance obligations and promoting a culture of risk awareness, safety and continuous improvement. Child safety is the overriding priority.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor legislative and policy requirements and updates
• Facilitate discussions and staff training activities
• Maintain compliance systems and records and support governance
• Support audits and assurance programs, as well as incident reporting and investigation procedures

Required profile

• Experience in risk management, governance, compliance and/or occupational health and safety, applied in an education, not-for-profit or similarly regulated environment
• Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, with strong communication skills and collaborative working
• Commitment to a culture of risk awareness, compliance and safety, and willingness to support the College's Catholic ethos, mission and values
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Check before starting
