Part-Time Front Office Receptionist

About the role

Ibis Melbourne Hotel & Apartments, a 250-room hotel with apartments, restaurant and three conference spaces near the Melbourne CBD and Queen Victoria Markets, is looking for a part-time hotel receptionist. The role takes initiative to make guest interactions positive, productive and professional, in line with the Heartist principles.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out and maintain accurate guest accounts
• Take bookings, provide helpful information and enter reservations
• Answer guest queries quickly and efficiently
• Handle guest requests and complaints positively
• Liaise with other departments to assist guests and advise on room moves
• Advocate for Accor's loyalty programme among non-members

Required profile

• Previous hotel front office reception experience preferable
• Friendly, positive attitude and enjoyment of teamwork
• Previous experience with Opera is desirable but not essential

Required skills

• Professional telephone manner and excellent customer service
• Communication, interpersonal and time management skills
