Part-Time Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendant

About the role

Oaks Cairns Hotel is looking for several enthusiastic, service-driven Bartenders / Food & Beverage Attendants to join its team on a part-time basis. The role covers both the bar and the restaurant floor, supporting smooth service during lunch and evening shifts. It suits someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible across seven days, including weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to all guests across the restaurant and bar
• Take and deliver orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve beverages to a high standard, keeping the bar clean and well stocked
• Recommend menu items confidently and share knowledge of the food and beverage offerings
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and resolve guest needs professionally

Required profile

• Previous experience in a barista, café, restaurant or food and beverage role preferred
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification, or the ability to obtain one
• Ability to work a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and public holidays
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and coffee equipment operation
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Professional presentation, teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced environment
