Part-Time Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd is looking for a part-time Accounts Payable Officer to join the Accounts team of its subsidiary, ALS Metallurgy, in the northern suburbs of Perth. The role is Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 3:00pm, reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside another accounts payable team member.

Key responsibilities

• Process day-to-day supplier invoices, making sure the required authorisations and documentation are in place.
• Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders with courtesy and professionalism.
• Assist with supplier pay runs.
• Process supplier credit account applications in line with ALS procedures.
• Maintain supplier accounts and records to a high standard.
• Perform end-of-month supplier account reconciliations.
• Carry out any other required tasks and comply with regulatory and ALS policy requirements for Health, Safety and the Environment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar roles.
• Ideally a basic qualification in accounting.
• Ability to work to tight monthly deadlines, independently and as part of a team.
• Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
• Eligible to work in Australia (citizen or permanent resident, or holder of a valid working visa).

Required skills

• Strong Excel competency.
• Pronto 780 experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good interpersonal, communication, organisational and time management skills.
