Paralegal – Recovery & Restructuring

About the role

Dentons Australia is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Recovery and Restructuring practice in Perth. You will support major banks and non‑bank lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters, managing a portfolio of files in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end file management for recovery cases.
• Prepare and issue legal documents, including statutory notices and court filings.
• Serve as the first point of contact for clients via a specialised online portal.
• Conduct outbound and inbound calls with defaulting customers, negotiating suitable arrangements.
• Collaborate with lawyers to progress matters through the courts.

Required profile

• Well‑organised with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a supportive team.
• Self‑motivated, professional outlook and capable of handling pressure.
• Superior drafting ability, meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a professional phone manner.
• Prior law‑firm experience not required; recovery experience preferred.
• Law students with at least two years remaining can apply.
