Painter - FIFO Accommodation Refurbishment (Casual)

About the role

Sodexo is looking for experienced Painters to join its Projects team, delivering accommodation refurbishment works across various sites on a casual FIFO basis with a 2:2 roster (14 days on, 14 days off). Reporting to the Project Supervisor, you will carry out painting, plastering, surface preparation and refurbishment works on accommodation facilities, keeping village infrastructure maintained and improved safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Complete painting, plastering, patching and surface preparation works for accommodation refurbishment projects
• Repair and maintain walls, ceilings, doors and associated fixtures
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Assist carpenters, tradespeople and project team members to meet project deadlines
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and take part in toolbox talks and pre-start meetings

Required profile

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
• Construction White Card
• Current Queensland Manual Driver's Licence
• Previous experience as a Painter in construction, refurbishment, maintenance, facilities management or remote village environments
• Willingness to travel to and from work and to endure remote environments in extreme weather
• Ability to work long shifts (up to 12 hours); must pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
• A National Police Check is required if you do not have one dated within the last 6 months
