Packaging Development Technologist

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Packaging Development Technologist to join its R&D Packaging team in Ringwood, Melbourne. Working with a high-performing, collaborative team, you will organise and execute packaging projects in line with RDQ, Marketing and Manufacturing requirements, with the chance to work on end-to-end new product development (NPD) projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of packaging projects for biscuits and baked snacks, including imported and local products
• Work with R&D teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement and suppliers to feed the packaging funnel, considering new technologies, material market trends and packaging sustainability
• Support the management of technical timelines, communicating timely and outlining issues, risks and contingency plans
• Conduct and coordinate functional testing, including analysis of data, results and follow-up recommendations and action plans
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising during project deployment
• Ensure Packaging Quality expectations are met within programmes

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Packaging Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of industry experience in the Food, Cosmetic or Nutrition industry; manufacturing experience is advantageous
• Desire to drive your future and accelerate your career

Required skills

• Experience with digital tools such as AutoCAD, Illustrator, SAP and AI tools
• Technical curiosity and a strong eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic knowledge of technical, regulatory, legal and financial affairs
