P-8A Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to join its MRO Services team at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia. You will support Modification and Depot Maintenance for the P-8A Poseidon Program, maintaining and modifying aircraft systems and performing depot servicing. The new Deep Maintenance Modification Facility at RAAF Edinburgh offers advanced defence projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain individual qualifications and certifications for Cert IV Aeroskills - Structures in line with the Boeing Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
• Follow all approved maintenance processes and procedures
• Ensure maintenance is completed and corrective actions meet task requirements
• Carry out aircraft and component maintenance, including task completion, certification and finalisation, in line with maintenance authorisation
• Use equipment only according to authorised instructions

Required profile

• Australian citizenship to meet Defence security requirements and ITARS compliance
• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) - essential
• Defence security clearance, or ability to obtain one
• C class driver's licence - essential
• Sound knowledge of aviation quality assurance and the DASR 145 regulatory framework - essential
• Contemporary working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices - essential
• Prior maintenance experience in 737NG or derivative aircraft is desirable
