Operations Supervisor – Logistics & Transportation

About the role

Amazon Logistics is looking for an Operations Supervisor to work with Area Managers and Operations Managers to drive innovation and ensure effective execution across transportation networks. The role involves leading a team to meet performance and productivity targets in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Foster a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to laws and internal policies.
• Assist in daily oversight and management of departmental tasks.
• Conduct staff debriefs and ensure all paperwork is accurately completed.
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Allocate tasks to staff to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels, manage call‑outs, absences, performance coaching, and monitor department productivity.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates.
• Collaborate with Area and Operations Managers to track, analyze, and report metrics.
• Identify factors contributing to achievement or shortfall of objectives.
• Monitor and report associate hours and schedules.
• Address and resolve process‑related issues within the area.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects.

Required profile

• Flexible schedule/shift availability, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Experience in logistics and warehouse operations.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg, stand or walk for shifts up to 10 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
