Operations Supervisor

About the role

BlueScope Distribution is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a skilled team in Townsville, Queensland. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and delivery while supporting the company’s steel and aluminium product services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing operations team.
• Maintain exceptional safety, quality, lead‑time and on‑time delivery performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across all operational processes.
• Control inventory integrity and ensure accurate stock holdings in the warehouse.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an operational or logistics environment.
• Understanding of maintenance programmes, systems and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and lead collaborative teams.
• Passion for safety, people development and continuous improvement.
• Forklift licence is preferable but not essential.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (preferred)
