Operations Manager - Organics Recycling Facility

About the role

Cleanaway, an ASX-listed waste management company transforming waste into resources and renewable energy, is seeking an Operations Manager to lead its organics recycling and depackaging facility in Dandenong South, Victoria. The role suits a confident, driven operational leader who tackles complex problems and seeks root causes rather than accepting recurring issues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the safe and efficient operation of the organics and depackaging facilities
• Champion a safety-first culture so everyone goes home safe every day
• Develop, review and implement site procedures, work instructions and operational standards
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity and cost performance
• Investigate incidents and operational issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Monitor and report on key operational KPIs
• Build a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and capability development

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a related field, or equivalent significant business-related experience in manufacturing, waste or transport
• Strong business acumen, communication and organisational skills
• Proactive problem-solving and a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions
• Interest in sustainability, recycling, waste management or environmental services
