Operations Manager - Events & Conferences

About the role

Crown Perth is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its Conferences & Events team. The role leads a large and complex operation delivering a diverse calendar of events, including major functions and bespoke client experiences. It sits in an integrated resort environment and connects event operations with sales, kitchens and key stakeholders across Crown.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of conferences, banquets and events, ensuring exceptional service and execution.
• Partner with sales, kitchens and other operational teams to develop bespoke, commercially sustainable event solutions.
• Contribute operational expertise to proposals, tenders, tastings and event planning.
• Lead and develop a large and complex team, building leadership capability, developing talent and strengthening succession planning.
• Drive commercial performance through budgeting, labour management and decision-making, balancing event objectives with profitability and delivery standards.
• Champion continuous improvement by challenging established ways of working, capturing client feedback and improving the events experience.

Required profile

• Significant management experience in conferences, events, banqueting or large-scale hospitality operations.
• A strong people leader with experience building capability, developing talent and creating high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, able to balance guest experience, revenue, costs and operational outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, able to build partnerships across diverse teams.
• Client-focused and solutions-driven, confident in exploring creative, bespoke approaches.
• Strong judgement, adaptability and attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining service standards.
