Operations Controller (Aviation)

About the role

Toll Aviation, part of Toll Group, is an experienced provider of crewed and uncrewed specialised operations and training for Government, Defence and the civil sector. It is seeking two Operations Controllers to join its team supporting the National Operations Centre (NOC) and delivering real-time operational coordination across its aeromedical and aviation network. The role involves monitoring, coordinating and optimising daily flight operations in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily flight operations across the network and monitor and maintain schedule integrity
• Lead disruption management and coordinate recovery activities
• Manage crew allocation across live operations and forward planning, adjusting rosters and resolving gaps or conflicts
• Act as the central point of coordination between stakeholders, liaising with internal operations teams, leadership, crew and external partners
• Ensure clear, timely communication during operational disruptions or escalations

Required profile

• Experience in aviation, operations control, logistics or scheduling environments
• Proactive, resilient and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Attention to detail and organisational capability
• Ability to work a full rotating 24/7 roster
• Must be entitled to work in Australia and ready for pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Exposure to rostering or crewing systems (e.g. Air Maestro) highly desirable
