Operations Associate - Corporate Actions

About the role

A global fintech and trading platform is recruiting an Operations Associate focused on Corporate Actions, based in Sydney CBD. The role sits within the Operations function and ensures the smooth running of post-trade activities, with a strong emphasis on Corporate Actions management across domestic and international markets. It is a full-time, permanent placement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Corporate Actions end to end, including dividends, rights issues, mergers and other voluntary or mandatory events across global markets
• Oversight of daily securities settlement and remittance processes, including FX and equities
• Manage client stock transfers and resolve settlement discrepancies with counterparties
• Reconcile trades, positions and funding requirements daily
• Monitor operational risk and escalate issues where required
• Work with compliance on AML/KYC requirements
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Take part in projects, system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Required profile

• 5+ years of operations experience in financial services, ideally in a broker, trading platform or similar environment
• Strong, hands-on experience managing Corporate Actions (essential)
• Solid understanding of securities settlement, reconciliations and post-trade processes
• Familiarity with ASIC/AUSTRAC regulatory frameworks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
