Operational Technology Engineer - MES and MOM

About the role

Insight Engineering is seeking an Operational Technology Engineer to implement, maintain and optimise Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) systems for its clients. The role is based in a modern warehouse office near the Geelong Ring-Road, with free onsite parking.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities through MES and MOM systems
• Scope, design, implement and commission solutions focused on data availability, reporting, dashboarding and analytics
• Design and implement MES and MOM solutions to improve manufacturing processes and productivity
• Configure, test and commission MES and MOM systems
• Provide technical support to clients and troubleshoot system issues
• Develop and deliver client training on MES and MOM systems
• Drive improvements in OT systems and stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• 2+ years of experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional, confidential approach
• Ability to manage and prioritise daily workload while meeting internal and client deadlines
• Customer-focused attitude and problem-solving mindset

Required skills

• High-level PC skills and technical ability
• Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems is desirable but not essential
