Occupational Therapist (Part-Time, 4 Days Per Week)

About the role

HammondCare, a not-for-profit aged care provider in NSW, is hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist (Level 1/2) for Braeside Hospital in Prairiewood. The role runs four days per week until the end of April 2027 and works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to deliver Occupational Therapy services to hospital patients and advice to their carers. The therapist joins the multi-disciplinary team in a patient-centred, evidence-based, quality-improvement environment. As a NSW Health-affiliated organisation, all NSW Health transferrable entitlements are recognised.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective and efficient Occupational Therapy services to clients and support and advise their carers
• Assess patients' functional and care needs, set care goals and provide treatment as part of the multi-disciplinary team
• Apply the organisation's Mission and values in a client-centred, continuous quality improvement environment

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
• Significant practical experience or extensive knowledge of Occupational Therapy in rehabilitation and palliative care; inpatient, outpatient and community experience desirable
• Current driver's licence and safe driving record
• Willingness to travel between HammondCare sites and services
• Demonstrated experience in pressure care and pressure injury management
