Occupational Therapist (NDIS, Sutherland Shire)

About the role

Ability Action Australia, one of the largest NDIS providers in Australia, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Sutherland Shire region, covering Caringbah, Cronulla and Lower St George depending on where you are based. The role suits someone seeking CPD opportunities within a growing, multi-disciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an allocated caseload (based on negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
• Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observation and standardised assessments
• Interpret findings to set individual treatment goals
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve quality of life and help participants meet their goals
• Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Required profile

• Current membership with AHPRAP
• Passion for community-based support for people with disability
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
• Time management and organisational skills to manage varied caseloads
