Occupational Therapist Graduate Program

About the role

The Graduate Occupational Therapist will join APM Workcare’s one‑year Graduate Program in Canberra, supporting clients returning to work and daily life after injury. You will work alongside allied health professionals and receive mentorship and technical training.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct office‑based and vehicle ergonomic assessments.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living assessments for equipment or household services prescription.
• Carry out worksite assessments to interpret physical demands and advise on return‑to‑work duties.
• Complete functional capacity evaluations.
• Collaborate with other health practitioners, including GPs and surgeons, through case conferencing.
• Organise rehabilitation activities such as Pilates and hydrotherapy.
• Review and analyse medical reports, e.g., MRIs and X‑rays.

• Willingness to collaborate and contribute fresh ideas to the team.

Required skills

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Eligibility for AHPRA membership.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and comprehensive insurance.
