Occupational Therapist - Early Start Australia

About the role

Early Start Australia, part of the APM Group, is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist for its Werribee clinic. You will join an allied health team supporting children and young people aged 0-16, working with families across communication, motor, cognitive and social development. The clinic is a registered NDIS provider offering therapy under different funding models.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver therapy services: assess clients, manage a caseload including complex cases, and tailor programs to client goals
• Provide services in the clinic, home, school and community, and run group therapy and parent workshops
• Complete initial appointments, develop goal plans and measurable interventions, prepare home and session resources, and conduct school and home visits when appropriate
• Monitor progress, adjust goals and programs, and complete reviews and reports
• Record treatment notes in PMS within 24 hours and provide reports to clients, families, health professionals and the NDIA
• Align therapy plans with available funding, obtain and review NDIS plans, and ensure accurate invoicing
• Take part in team meetings, peer reviews and case discussions, and use professional development opportunities

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in solution-focused therapy and early intervention
• Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy, AHPRA registration and NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working with Children check or state-specific vulnerable people registration, National Police Check, accredited First Aid certificate, and a current driver's licence and vehicle
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and independently in the community
