NT Workers Compensation Internship

About the role

Gallagher Bassett, Australia's largest Third-Party Administrator, is offering a 5-week paid internship in its Darwin office in January 2027. The internship sits within the NT Workers Compensation function, which provides claims and return-to-work support for people recovering from a workplace injury or illness. No prior insurance or corporate experience is needed.

Key responsibilities

• Support key claims and return-to-work processes
• Undertake claims reviews and performance metric reviews
• Collaborate on projects that improve claims and return-to-work offerings for injured workers and the NT Government
• Gain exposure to policies, compliance and best practices

Required profile

• Student or graduate in Allied Health, Psychology, Medicine, Social Work, Law, Finance, Business/Analytics, Management or Social Sciences, completing studies in 2027 or later
• Full-time availability from Monday 18 January to Friday 19 February 2027
• Domestic or international student with full Australian working rights
• Passion for learning, dedication to service and empathy; no prior insurance experience required
