Night Caretaker / Guest Service Agent

About the role

The Oaks Gold Coast Calypso Plaza Suites are seeking a part‑time Night Caretaker who will be the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, delivering exceptional service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome late‑arriving guests, manage check‑ins, check‑outs and enquiries throughout the night.
• Maintain clear communication with guests, colleagues and stakeholders, resolving issues promptly.
• Process reservations, guest account transactions and ensure confidentiality of guest information.
• Monitor the property for security, cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning tasks in common areas.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns and emergencies, ensuring safety and a positive experience.
• Complete nightly operational, reporting and administrative duties within required timeframes.
• Report any maintenance, safety or operational issues identified during the shift.

Required profile

• Background in hotel operations, hospitality or a similar guest‑facing environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, remaining professional under pressure.
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn property management and reservation systems.
• Proactive, service‑focused attitude with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities overnight and maintain a polished professional presentation.
• Willingness to work overnight, weekends and public holidays as required.
