National Operate Director – BPO & Managed Services

About the role

Shape the growth of Deloitte Australia's National Operate business by leading complex managed services pursuits across Finance, HR/Payroll, and Government & Public Sector. This Director role is based in Sydney or Melbourne and focuses on delivering managed service solutions that transform how clients run critical functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support complex pursuits, building compelling managed service solutions.
• Collaborate with National Operate leadership to originate opportunities across Finance, HR/Payroll, and Government & Public Sector.
• Develop and refine operating models, shared services, and BPO solutions for clients.
• Shape responses for government clients with complex procurement requirements.
• Work with local and global teams to strengthen capability, develop thought leadership, and create new market propositions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in managed services, outsourcing, BPO, BPaaS or shared services environments.
• Proven success in sales, business development, pursuits and complex bid activities for managed service offerings.
• Experience developing or leading managed service operating models across Finance, HR, Payroll or similar functions.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end service delivery, commercial models, governance and client relationship management.
• Experience working with Government & Public Sector clients and knowledge of their procurement requirements.
• Ability to develop compelling propositions, thought leadership and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Stakeholder management and executive influencing skills across clients and internal leadership.
• Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams across local and global networks.
